Tugiun Huandra passed away peacefully at age 87 on February 26, 2026 in Cedar Park, Texas. His loving wife Djuwita, was by his side.
Tugiun was born on December 24th, 1938 in Sumatra, Indonesia, to father Fan Hin and mother Lim Jong Joen. Tugiun and Djuwita raised their family in Jakarta, Indonesia, but eventually moved to Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers Tugian, Hartosugito, Tugita, and Harjono. Tugiun is survived by his wife Djuwita of 58 years, one daughter and three sons as well as four grandchildren. He was blessed to have spent his final weeks surrounded by family.
Tugiun had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. After he received Christ, he enjoyed singing hymns. He was known for being compassionate, warm-hearted, caring and loving. His journey on earth has ended, and his story is one of a life well-lived. He is profoundly missed, until we meet again at our heavenly home.
A celebration of life will be held to honor Tugiun on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Beck Funeral Chapel in Austin, Texas. Visitation will take place at 10:00 am, with services beginning at 11:00 am.
